ARMOR Rx+, a bi-metal band saw blade featuring a unique, patented tooth form, AlTiN (Aluminum, Titanium and Nitride) coated edge and high performance backing steel can deliver long life — up to three times life when compared with standard bi-metal blades. The teeth
LENOX ARMOR Rx+ blades feature an advanced tooth design that provides a wider tooth cross section. The increased surface area offers a reinforced cutting surface; one that eliminates tooth strippage and prevents premature failure. This patented design also helps to reduce burring and removes chips quickly for long life, in addition to low vibration and noise levels.
The coating
The LENOX proprietary coating process binds the coating to the blade providing the cutting edges with excellent protection. This coating acts as a defense mechanism against heat build-up and provides an extreme hardness value to the edge of the blade while also protecting the teeth from wear. When combined with the patented tooth design, the AlTiN coating gives users great blade performance and extended blade life.
The backing steel
