EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass., June 30, 2004 – LENOX, a leading manufacturer of premium power tool accessories, hand tools and band saw blades, today introduces its new HRc line of carbide-tipped band saw blades designed to last longer, and cut faster, smoother and more quietly than cut-off saw blades while cutting highly abrasive materials such as case-hardened materials, steel-belted tires, railroad track, and chrome-plated shafting.
The blades′ high quality, micro-grained heat and wear resistant carbide teeth are applied using a proprietary high-strength carbide weld process that helps prevent the teeth from breaking off and becoming lodged in the work piece. A special reinforced tooth design provides extra resistance to tooth strippage and allows for easy penetration in the most difficult applications. Many demanding cuts that can take as long as 40 minutes using an abrasive wheel can be accomplished in under two minutes using LENOX HRc.
The new LENOX HRc blades also feature new, high-performance backing steel for extreme durability and increased blade life.
"The long cut times associated with cutting highly abrasive materials with cut-off saws, lathes, abrasive wheels and cold saws are enough to slow down any job," said Chuck Wahr, senior product manager, LENOX. "The new long-lasting LENOX HRc is designed to replace all of those loud, smoky machines by quickly and easily handling even the most abrasive cutting jobs."
LENOX HRc is available from LENOX authorized distributors in the following sizes:
• 1 x .035" (27 x 0.90)
• 1 1/4" x .042" (34 x 1.07)
• 1 1/2" x .050" (41 x 1.27)
